In the late 1970s and early 1980s, while preparing the second edition of its Master Plan for the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park , the Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission developed a document known as the Historic Structures Survey

The Historic Structures Survey, which was published in 1982, covered many of the small towns along the Delaware River, including the City of Lambertville .

As part of the development of the Survey, the Canal Commission, with help from many Lambertville organizations and citizen volunteers, cataloged the majority of the buildings in the city, recording information about each property, including the construction date, architectural style, and architectural significance, as well as a photograph of the building.

This catalog of property information exists in paper form, and can be found at City Hall , the Lambertville Public Library , and at the Lambertville Historical Society. As far as we know, however, there has until now been no online source for this material.

This website provides the public with the ability to search for a property by address, and to view or download a PDF file with the page from the catalog representing that property.
